Facebook is the most popular website in the United States and almost the most popular in the world. Twitter is not far behind. Both websites are essentially a stream of social content -- the status updates, activity, and tweets that make up each user's "wall" or "stream." The "social stream" has quickly caught on in other websites as well because status updates draw users in quickly and then keep them involved. During this presentation, you will learn how you can build these features in Drupal and why they will help your Drupal website succeed in an increasingly social world.
Our presenter, Isaac Sukin has been developing with Drupal for nearly three years, and is the author of several popular Drupal modules including Facebook-style Statuses, Shorten URLs, and Tweet. He is proficient in many web technologies including PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, and jQuery/AJAX. Isaac has particularly focused on Drupal as a social networking platform.
